Engr. Rolando Forbes Valdez has been designated district engineer of the DPWH Second Engineering District of Camarines Sur vice Engr. Willard Atutubo was has been reassigned.
Valdez had been assistant district engineer of the same office since August 4, 2004 until his designation which took effect on September 26, 2007.
His designation under Special Order No. 187 Series 2007 was signed by DPWH Secretary Hermogenes E. Ebdane, Jr.
He first served at the Bureau of Maintenance of the DPWH in Manila, from 1986 as senior civil engineer until his assignment in Camarines Sur.
Valdez finished his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the Pamantasan ng Maynila in 1982 and passed the CE board examinations the following year.
He has undergone important trainings and seminars to adequately prepare him for the post including a two-month seminar at the Belgian Road Research Center at Brussels, Belgium on maintenance and environmental problems.
He has also attended seminars on material engineering and quality control, instructional techniques, presentation of program implementation plan, comprehensive training for DPWH field engineers and several computer-related courses.
