BALIK CARAMOAN 2007 SUPPLEMENT


Eight Days of Grandeur, Eight days of Joy

Defying financial odds, the Caramoan Residents Association in Naga City and its Environs (CRANE) hosted from May 1 to 8, 2007 what could be the most flamboyant celebrations in Caramoan, Camarines Sur intended to entertain homecoming Caramoanons from Metro Manila and other parts of the country and abroad. On these three pages are pictorials of the entire week-long pompous celebrations.

The parade contingent of the United High School, first and only private school in Caramoan from where most Caramoanon professionals graduated.

Participants in the much applauded cultural competitions held under the supervision of the indefatigable Ms. Amelia Babilonia-Borebor
Boat races at Gota bay drew over a hundred enthusiastic participants from coastal barangays.
Other sports events included chess, beach volleyball, group volleyball, basketball, billiards, marathon and even kite flying.
FIREWORKS fit for national celebrations lit up the Caramoan sky on May 7, 2007 as one of the highlights of the BALIK CARAMOAN 2007 festivities.

Miss Summer Gota Queen 2007
Ms. Claire Perfecto of Minalabac, Camarines Sur (third from left) was crowned at Gota Beach as Miss Summer Gota Queen while first runner-up was Ms. Charmaine Floresca of Libmanan, Camarines Sur and Ms. Maria Rowena Betito from Naga City was second runner-up. With the beauties in photo are CRANE president and Mrs. Dominador Alarkon, Jr. while at left is renowned artist Pancho Piano, one of the judges.
