TWO AWARDS IN TWO SUCCESSIVE DAYS
Congressman Luis R. Villafuerte continues to reap laurels for his exemplary performance in the government as congressman. On February 7 he received from Congress Magazine the award for the Most Outstanding Congressman for Three Consecutive Years from 2004 to 2006, shown in top photo being conferred on him by noted economist and columnist Hilarion Henares, Jr. In the awarding group are Dr. Frank Grego. Congress Magazine editor; former Deputy Speaker Alfredo Abueg, jr., Prof Guillermo Santos, former president of the Manila Overseas Press Club and Dr. Everico Sumpay, president of the Philippine State College of Aeronautics. On February 8, he received the First Orgullo kan Bikol Award from the Faith Heroes Shining Times, Inc. in cooperation with the Diocese of Masbate headed by Most Rev. Joel Z. Baylon, D.D. (above photo). The second award is for his being the most outstanding Bicolano legislator.
