The Golden Jubilee reunion of the United High School Class 1958 in May, 2008 is the focus of gradual but steady planning and preparation by members of the class even as they are now scattered all over the country and even abroad.
Retired Caramoan Municipal Treasurer Gregorio Recto who has been requested to act as coordinator by members of the class made up of two sections said he has personally contacted already a number of members of the class all of whom have shown great enthusiasm in the coming get-together which actually will be the first since their graduation nearly 50 years ago.
Recto said he hopes to reach more than half of the surviving members of the class before the end of the year and expects to gather in a meeting the core group within the first quarter of 2007.
United High School, the only private high school in Caramoan, is alma mater of most professionals from the town who have reaped success in their chosen fields of endeavor here in the country and abroad.
Recto said that among those he has already contacted and who have expressed so much enthusiasm for the success of the grand reunion were Felipa Alarkon-Lao and Florito Teoxon who are both residing now in the United States, Ludovico Beriso in Davao del Sur, Severiano Tang in Santiago, Isabela, Lilia Sarmiento Recto in Quezon city, Atty. Glicerio P. Alarkon, Jr., Eugenio Sarmiento and Felix Borja in Metro Manila, Nora Sancho Boncodin in Naga City, Lydia Alvarez Alarcon, Ignacio Formalejo, Jr., Lydia Adevino Ruiz, Pedro Beltran, Isidra Sarabia Cervantes, Dioscoro Moraño and Purisima Ruiz Bañas and Lucerio Basiño in Daet.

UHS Class 1958 had then as teachers such illustrious educators as Eusebio Balcueva, Sr., Ex-Mayor Glicerio Alarkon, Sr. and Arcadio Ampeloquio who are now all deceased.
Among the elite list teachers of the class who are still surviving are Jose P. Sancho who is presently principal of the high school, Servanda S. Teoxon who is residing now in U.S. and Rosalia Tang-Alarcon. They will all be invited to grace the once-in-a-lifetime affair together with other surviving teachers of the school who may not have directly taught the class but who were around from 1954 to 1958.
