Digital Animation free at Capitol

A new exciting course especially for those with artistic talents is being offered for free by the Camarines Sur provincial government.

Gov. LRay Villafuerte said he has contracted the services of two known experts, Arman Salva and Dick Bernardino, for the province to be able to offer the Digital Animation course to those inclined towards the course but could not afford to study in Manila. Digital Animation is needed in film-making, preparation of computer softwares, audio-visuals and ad presentations. It involves some of the most lucrative jobs today.

Salva and Bernardino are both members of the well-known Philippine Animation Studio Incorporated (PASI) based in Mania. They handled digital animation works for such films as X-Men, Fantastic Four, Biker Mice from Mars and many other projects like Scooby Doo, Flintstones and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Throughout the world, Filipino digital animators have gained prominence as among the most competent.
The new course is actually an expansion of the computer education program of the provincial government which enabled hundreds of constituents to finish varying computer courses for free. Beneficiaries under the program include not only plain students but teachers, policemen, employees and housewives who want to make productive use of their time while at home.
