Isolation of the Municipality of Caramoan, Camarines Sur, Philippines has been tagged as the cause for its sluggish developmental growth. Although its resources range from world-class tourism potentials to vast marine products and huge metallic mineral deposits including gold, the town has so far not capitalized on these God-given wealth and many among the populace are still mired in poverty.

The Caramoan Residents Association in Naga City and its Environs (CRANE) which has been resuscitated to push development of the town believes that through modern communication system and facilities the isolation of the town could be effectively remedied. It started with its own newspaper The PENINSULA MONITOR and utilized all available tri-media outlets to disseminate the latent potentials that abound in the municipality. But these still are inadequate without its own website which in a way also answers the clamor of Caramoanons in many parts of the world to be able to keep in touch with the town of their birth.
